Parkside rugby players get ready for a career with the whistle!

On Friday 29th June, As part of the Schools ASPIRE2b programme, 11 students from years 9 & 10 took their first steps in becoming a rugby union referee. The students developed their existing knowledge on the rules and laws of the game enabling them to successfully officiate in future games for younger students.

The students undertook the Old Mutual Wealth Kids First Refereeing Children led by Calum Harris and James Oliver from the RFU. All involved will be advancing their skills next academic year when they officiate in the White Rose Schools Rugby Festivals.
