Jake, a student at the Cullingworth school, last year won the regional heat of the national Future Chef contest.
Six students entered the school heat of the 2017 Future Chef tournament, with first place going to Tasha Nasir for her stuffed chicken with potatoes, carrots, baby-corn and asparagus.
She and second prizewinner, Imogen Pickles, who created a Thai pork and peanut curry, will travel to Leeds for the local final on December 5.
Also taking part at Parkside were year nine students Chloe Hawskworth with a fruit soufflé, Chloe Humphrey with a Moulton chocolate cake, Sam Cross with a marinated chicken burger with spicy wedges, and Ella Blackburn with a chocolate orange mousse.
Food Technology teacher Sarah Trowers, who organised the event, said "all the dishes were amazing!" and thanked the team of judges.
