Parkside School gains national recognition for its quality of CPD from the Teacher Development Trust

As part of the schools ongoing work with the Teacher Development Trust, Parkside School has undertaken a rigorous self-analysis of its CPD provision to measure its progress since gaining the nationally recognised Bronze Award in 2016.

The audit covered a wide range of areas including;
• Culture and Wellbeing
• Processes and Structures of CPD
• Research, Innovation and Evidence

The audit, conducted by the Teacher Development Trust, showed significant development has taken place within the school and awarded Parkside its Silver status. Furthermore, Parkside School has become the first school in Bradford to gain the prestigious award.

Matt Barratt, Deputy Headteacher commented that “ …the award is an absolutely fantastic achievement and reflects the continual hard work and commitment of all of the staff at Parkside school. A key development over the last 12 months has been the incorporation of lesson study into our CPD.  This methodology has really helped target the use of evidenced based research in devising strategies to improve the outcomes of our students”.
