Parkside school is delighted to announce plans that will transform the provision of its CIAG ( Careers, Independant advice and Guidance) provision.
Throughout the past 8 weeks staff have been working hard to identify where opportunities and provision can be further enhanced both within lessons and also in the enterprise and workplace provision and enrichment opportunities.
Deputy Headteacher, Matt Barratt said "The plans are looking very exciting! There will be comprehensive provision from Year 7 to 13 that will provide a range of opportunities to fully inform all students of the workplace opportunities available to them. The model will build on the very successful transition we have to Higher Education and Russell Group Universities and provide bespoke guidance on workplace apprenticeships at Level 2 and 3 whilst also developing the skills the pupils will need when applying for future employment such as CV writing, experience days and practice interview skills."
The partnership with Bradford Pathways and the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership has been integral to the provision and will ensure a bespoke provision for our students and their chosen pathways. The school will be holding an information evening in the near future to launch the programme to parents and students to ensure all key stakeholders are fully aware of the opportunities that are available and how that dream career can be achieved!
