School Nursing Team
The School Nurse supports students in Years 7 to 13 and their families. They work with paediatricians, GPs, and health & social care practitioners. The School Nursing Team has knowledge and skills in many areas including nutrition, healthy lifestyles, emotional and mental health. They provide a range of support, for example, when children or young people have concerns or anxiety around their own health, or if concerns are raised in assessment. They can also refer to other services.
Where needed, and in agreement with a child or young person and their parents or carers (depending on their age), the School Nursing Team can make a plan of care which may include school, signposting you to information or completing a referral.
